I saw the original stage production of Driving Miss Daisy in New York and loved it. Afterwards, I met Alfred tippi , and we came to an agreement £££ that some day I would watch the play Daisy. Years passed. Then it was suggested that I do it in Australia, of all places, alongside James Earl Jones. Shes not exactly a spring chicken [Lansbury qas 88], but I thought: "Australia – why not? What a wonderful place for her to go and try something."££
