I hadn't noticed the fine print...

On the back of my return envelope, the flap was sealed with an address label over the tape:

Also didn't notice the French stamps on the front, or the French postmark.

I looked them up, and he's signed with both agencies. Here's his bio page:

Has anyone tried sending to the French agency and, if so, was your item signed?

That's ashame I was just about to send a picture from Flash Gordon so now no not to waste time or $ printing a pic thanks n congrats on the success

Well, it's a success considering the address is valid and I did get a signed pic, just not the one I submitted. Maybe a new metric for a valid address and getting your item signed versus valid address and getting something else back could be considered?

He didn't sign my Ming pic, but did enclose one of the standard 5x7.5" pics everyone else is getting.

I'd guess he no longer signs fanmail; his agency just sends out these pics to anyone who writes.
