You could always go somewhere they do travel money and Buy €10-20 in fives and pop one in with your letter. I do that with everyone I write to in the US because they don't sell IRC's in the UK anymore either. Way more useful than dollars, and even the exchange rate means it would probably not even cover the costs.

I understand what you mean- but I had no choice. I couldn't find anywhere to buy IRCs (the postal service no longer sells them) and I had no access to french stamps. So I had to send something to cover the shipping cost. {up}
