There are different thicknesses in the letters. As well, the stroke of the 't' and the end of the 'e' trail off. If it was done my machine (e.g., an autopen), there would be dots at the end of each word and/or stroke where the pen was lifted off, instead of trailing, as people sign their names. (Dates are different matter, since you naturally lift off the pen after every number, and put down the pen at the beginning of the number.)
