Hwa Jeong Kim became the first Korean American woman to serve on the Saint Paul Minnesota City Council since January 2024 and she is currently serving as City Council Member for Ward 5 of Saint Paul, Minnesota. She is currently working on social justice, civil rights including people with disabilities' rights, and environmental protection. On 3/14/2024 I mailed a letter explaining how I find City Council Member Hwa Jeong Kim's work to be very inspiring to me at:
