He's been notoriously stingy with his autographs over the years, and depending who you talk to, he's either a very nice guy or a complete jerk. I got his autograph on a baseball and a local car dealership years ago. I don't think he looked up once from the table while signing items.

Sent on April 1st, 2011. Received card back in SASE unsigned on June 3rd, 2011. No explanation. At least I got the card back. Have seen several post on various websites in the past few days with the same thing. Jim Rice must be an old crankypants these days!
