Sorry for you failure. :( Mr. O'Toole did quick signing some years ago for the exact reason your return letter states.
He signed for me back in the late 90's, but when I wrote to him about 5 years ago, i received the same letter you did.
One of the most brilliant actors still alive, it's unfortuanate that one person ruined it for the rest of all sincere collectors.

i hate "Fake fans" who write just to sell on ebay.

at least his agent had the decnecy to let you know

Peter O'Toole - Failure!

I sent Mr. O'Toole a letter with an 8x10 photo and an international reply coupon on September 12, 2012. I received a reply today (October 5, 2012). His agent sent me a letter informing me that Mr. O'Toole no longer signs autographs because a fan sold some personal mail on eBay and he felt betrayed. My photo and the postage coupon were returned.
