I would like to address the fact that many have made comments about only getting one photo signed or that Michael did not answer the sender's questions or personalize the photo.
As the person that handles his fan mail, I think you do not realize just how many requests that he receives in one month. Many of the requests sent in have multiple photos included. About 90% with 2 to 4 photos, but there have been some received with up to 11 pictures in one envelope; requesting them all to be signed and/or personalized, letters answered, etc. Also, more than half are sent in with insufficient return postage.
In one month he received over 225 photo/items to be signed from around 80 envelopes (yes I keep track), and this does not include the email requests or letters received asking for signed photos that do not include a photo/postage. Yes, he did not sign every photo, but made sure he signed at least one from each sender's group. This after being out of town filming for over 2 months, being tired, he still took time to sign; in addition to all of the other commitments, meetings and interviews he had.
So please understand if you do not get *all* of your photos signed or your letter answered. Michael isn't just sitting around the house, he is very busy. Please also keep in mind when the return envelope has insufficient postage Michael pays the balance just so that you can get your photo or item returned (and you will notice that the unsigned photos were returned as well, most actors would have kept or trashed them). And for those that emailed or didn't send a photo or stamped envelope, Michael paid for the photo, mailer and the postage to comply with the request.
Example: there is a person that had emailed 3 times last year asking for 2 photos each time (remember I said I keep track). They received photos the first time, but wanted more.
So often the concept is that actors make millions and don't have to worry about funds, those are rare exceptions to what real life as an actor is like.
So please try to be understanding. Thank you.
