Dr. Pepperberg is best known for her work with the African Grey Parrot Alex, whom she thaught more than 500 words and who was also capable of talking and allegedly reached the intelligence of a 5-year-old human.

I went to her foundation's Website and ordered two signed bookplates, each of them cost $5.00. Furthermore, I was able to ask Dr. Pepperberg for the lengthy dedications shown on the pics. I'm very happy with the success and glad the payment went to a good cause!
