You never received anything from him at all. You received something from his agent in London which you could of photocopied yourself from your laptop. He never signed it or touched that photo you fool.

I wouldn't call it either a success or a failure.
Yes, you received a response which is great [b]but[/b] it's NOT signed by David Jason so I'd call it a disappointment.

You can't really call a preprint a success it's just a big FAIL!!!
Not surprising from him tho he's not very pleasant too his fans. Even if you saw him in the street he would walk away and ignore you if you asked him.
