There was some debate about the method used on this one previously both on here and other forums. The conclusion was it may well be printed onto the photo ala an autopen, or simply printed on top of existing photos as he has a stock of these (we've seen a few of this photo recently come out with genuine signatures, but those signatures are always different).
If it is the same image with the same "Best wishes from Peter Capaldi" at the bottom as all the others, then no... it's not authentic in any way. Peter isn't signing with full signatures any more for the fanmail he does do, it degenerated very quickly, and very few are getting authentic replies. It is VERY easy for the OP to compare their success to the ones in place, and if it is the same as the others, and you still took it to an "expert" and they claimed its real, then I would never use that expert for anything again. We have no way of knowing if it is the same item until you show us a pic/scan of it.
It's quite simple... if you have the same black and white pic that I linked to, with the signature the same, then we all know it's not real. If you have a different one, I presume you would have mentioned that by now.
