So the tour (I forgot to update on here!) was AWESOME! Set-wise different from Broadway but everything new fell good into place. The only set piece that was shockingly missing was the windows during OMIGOD You Guys; they look liek they're just running around now!

Becky is a decent Elle. Nothing on my favourite Bailey, and Laura Bell is practically Elle Woods herself (in a good way :)!). DB Bonds was better than Christian Borle I felt. I'm a big The Scarlet PImpernel fan, so obviously that may have something to do with it. Whoever played Warner (excuse me, I'm forgetting his name!) was very good as well, as was Ven Daniel as the UPS guy, but I saw him on Broadway..! Ken Land was a good Callahan as well. Megan Lewis as Vivienne was also decent, not as powerful as Kate Shindle on B'way, but in no way bad. More like the second-best person they could have possibly found (again, in a great way!). Coleen Sexton, one of the biggest factors of me going, was spectacular. Fantastic (& sarcastic/witty) Brooke and Whipped Into Shape did not fail!

I actually got to see the tour twice. The first night I went I stagedoored and Coleen walked by and I didn't recognize her at first and I yelled "Coleen!" and she looked behind as she was on her cellphone, smiled, and then kept walking :(! So I left..!

The second time I went the stagedoor person told us that we should be "Kind, but aggressive." And I'm glad she said that. Coleen walked out, signed for the first person then kept walking just as she did her first night. So I signaled I wanted her to sign and she did and we chatted very little and there was a person there who kept saying I wanted to marry her/etc. and she looked confused/awakward and I very quickly signaled I did not know her/etc.! HAHAHAHAHA Then she told me her family was here and I said thanks again. Next to come out was DB Bonds, Emmett, who was very kind and appreciative. After that was Rhianon, who as you would assume was swamped by a lot of people. I waited patiently, and then Becky Gulsvig, Elle, came to me and signed and then kept moving. Rhiannon finally came over and then who but COLEEN SEXTON and her family (a large group of young teenage girls, go figure!) wanted a picture with Rhiannon so I got cut short with her but that's fine..! And then whoever was taking the picture was like "Uhhh...Coleen don't you want to get in the picture?" Hahahah!

Fun times! Great show!

And for those wondering, Rhiannon got hurt a little bit ago. Her understudy is currently covering the role of Margot and Lauren Zarkin was covering her for the time, but Wednesday night BECKY GULSVIG fell down some stairs apparently, and is out for the next 4 weeks. Next week is Lauren's "hometown" (close enough) so she will get to cover that entire week now as ELLE WOODS.

LAURA BELL BUNDY is returning the week after that until Houston I believe, to be Elle once more! Yay!

Hey all: Just an update to the LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL NATIONAL TOUR questions.

According the LB Tour blog:

"That night, after the show, we had our first night of fundraising for BROADWAY CARES EQUITY FIGHTS AIDS (BCEFA). We are selling signed playbills, custom cards by JOSH WALDEN, a signed jumprope, a signed piece of the HARVARD paper Becky pops out of, have the standard money buckets, and VEN is taking pictures with people as the UPS guy. Our first night we made 2000 dollars, and now have made well over 8000 dollars in just two days( still waiting for last nights total). Its great!!!!! We will be collecting into Dec, so wait for a grand total.
This happens after the show every night, so wait to see cast members in hats as you leave the theatre. Give $5, $10, deeds to your house, we even take small children or angry spouses to sell on the black market. "

Perhasp if you're interested try calling the Theatre it's currently playing at and see if you can wire/mail them the money or if they can hold one for you.

Otherwise, I'd try after we find out it's over, which will probably be early January.

I can pretty much guarantee they won't have playbills, or some form of programme that she would pass on.

I emailed them about a good address, but they have yet to email me back.

I sent to Bailey at the Palace during the summer, but obviously got nothing, so I will be trying to get her (I'm going to send a playbill of LB myself).

I'm pretty sure they'd pass on fanmail, they've seen some really famous Broadway actors and actresses there, so she's definately not the first. (Laura Bell Bundy was actually Dainty June in a production of GYPSY starring Betty Buckley)

I will def. be trying, but keep in mind the run is limited, and will only be showing November 5 - December 7 (Sunday).

Good luck to all of us that try!

I tried with the WHISTLE DOWN THE WIND tour for a Signed playbill and came up empty handed. The only time I think that they would def. have one is when the BECFA's organization has there week or two where they sell signed windowcards/other stuff for all Equity shows: Broadway and tours mostly. So maybe after that they might have a signed playbill, but I'm not positive. I didn't even get a response from Whistle Down the Wind.

With the Sweeney Todd-Revival tour, where there is 9 actors who are also the musicians, I wrote to Lauren Molina (Johanna/cello) and after about a month + some change, she sent me a signed playbill by the whole cast. Now with that, there's only 12 or so people to get (3 standbys-ish), nothing to the scale of Legally Blonde.

The other trouble with tour playbills is they're all different. As you see from the Broadway one, it says "PALACE THEATRE" under Playbill. In Chicago, they have a small logo that says "CADILLAC PALACE THEATRE" or in Philadelphia "FORREST THEATRE" or "ACADEMY OF MUSIC THEATRE." Also some theatres, even if it is an equity tour, do not give out the normal playbill's you'd expect. Many towns/venues give out there own playbills entirely...my EVITA one is Purple curves surrounding the logo with the dates it was there.

Honestly, you're best luck would be to write to someone directly with the tour. Perhaps Rhiannon or Lauren (Zarkin), both of whom were on the TV show and you have atleast seen them; inform them that you really enjoy the whole ntl tour cast/show. I wrote to Coleen Sexton (perhaps my favourite Broadway actress ever), and only got my questionairre filled out...no playbill or anything (but atleast I got something!!). You could even write that you either saw it, or when you see it you hope to see one of those two go on as Elle (they're understudies).

Good luck!

So we only have 11 days left until LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL is off from Broadway "forever" :(.

Just searching online, I found some graphics that I'd thought I'd share, and it'd be great if we all could post something, either picture or text about something that was meaningful to you about the show or something!

Luckily, we still have the National Tour for another year!

Also, more news: EMMA ZAKS, as from the reality show: LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL: The SEARCH for the NEXT ELLE WOODS on MTV, will be on Broadway once again (Debut in her father's production of La Cage Aux Follies, with Paul Canaan also in the ensemble) in PATTI LuPONE GYPSY, the 2008 Winning Revival, understudying/stand-by-ing the role of DAINTY JUNE (who is currently being played by the amazing Leigh Ann Larkin).

BAILEY HANKS, our current ELLE WOODS and star, will be performing in the stage adaption of "HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL" at the Paper Mill Playhouse in New Jersey.

And of course, LAUREN ZARKIN and RHINANON HANSEN are currently starring in the NATIONAL TOUR of LEGALLY BLONDE: THE MUSICAL. Rhinanon is featured as Margot, and Lauren is in the ensemble in the "Leilani" track, and understudying Elle.

If anyone sees it before the closing/has done so, post reviews/comments/quotes/mess-ups/ad-libs, whatever: including the national tour too! Love to hear some stories!
