That is what creates all these "hidden bargins" on ebay. The fact that ebay is stereotyped as a "market flooded with fakes" devalues the autographs sold on ebay and you can get some really good deals sometime because of that.

Personally, I will only buy an autograph which is impossible to get TTM. I do not see anything wrong with buying autographs; however, I hate to see dealers obtaining autographs and selling them on ebay for a rip off price :neutral: :

Obviously there's nothing wrong with it... :? I personally have never (and probably will never) bought an autograph for the simple reason that I like writing the letter, sending it and getting a photo signed specially just for me back in my mailbox. {up} I like the idea that the celebrity have read my letter and "knows" me! :lol:

I have nothing against buying but for personal reasons I don't buy, sell or trade autographs. :) But if you want to buy, I say go for it as long as you know for sure it's authentic! {thumb2}

Sometimes there is very little choice for someone anyway - like maybe the star doesn't sign TTM and the fan has little to no chance of ever being at a premiere to get their autograph. Things like that.

But personally, as long as it's real and not ridiculously priced, then yeah, I'd buy. [/color]

Although I am amongst those who would say that it "doesn't mean as much to them", especially in contrast to a personalized one, I would never say that it is "wrong" or that those are "not real collectors/fans"! I think it is quite the opposite since they don't mind to expend "a lot of money" for their most desired autograph... ;-)

So that is my opinion.
