Unfortunately, our nation was built on some of the very values of greed and fortune. I even think our society calls for it. What it doesn't stand for is the corruption that has been happening!

But I do not like Obama's system for the sole fact that let's say: I complete high school, go to college, complete four years there, have student loans to pay, get a job and make $75,000 a year. Then there's another case of someone who drops out of high school, and makes $25,000. Why should they get a break? Shouldn't I get to enjoy the riches that I've created by working hard as opposed to slacking off?

And I'm not saying don't give to charity or help the poor. But that doesn't mean we have to take money from the more elite, and those who are helping the economy, to give to the poor, who haven't worked, and could possibly spend it on guns, drugs, prositution, etc. Not tos ay that the wealthier classes don't, but they obviosuly have a slurplus. There should be room for charity, but at the economy we're in right now, there's no time to cut slack for those who refuse to work. And there are two sides to every story, I'm just generally speaking.

And yes, I'm a strong young Republican for McCain. Obama's inexperienced, not ready for the White House, Biden's an idiot, and anyone who says "Palin's not ready/experience either": well I'd rather have her as VICE PRESIDENT than OBAMA as President? There literally on the same playing field, but atleast we know Palin is willing to make a joke about herself, and open up about some of her life. (??!!!)

Greg - although the USA is not built on socialist principles, I don't think anyone should be greedy, and oppose cutting less fortunate people some slack. If I were rich I wouldn't think twice about helping someone out, and 'spreading' some of my wealth. Unfortunately, most people don't think this way and that's why there is so much poverty in the world!

"And there's nothing wrong with 'spreading wealth'. Are you happy to see people less fortunate than you remain that way all their life? Because then you're terribly selfish."

It's the way of life. We're not socialists? We shouldn't be the same? Never have been, never should be.

Think of it this way: You get a 100/100 on a test, and I get a 50/100. Obama decides to take away 25 points from you to give to me so that we can be equal. That's not a good policy. If anything, I'm with McCain on his tax plan: small business cuts (which need it), and leave everything else atleast similar. Times are hard right now, we don't need to be taxing the people who keep the economy alive.

And about Palin: Well atleast she supports her president-elect. Biden has said multiple times right up to when he was announced to be Vice President that he thought Obama was inexperienced. Obama is perhaps the most inexperienced of all the candidates governoring wise. I don't think he's ever written or passed a national bill! Palin atleast has experience at governoring both a small town, state, and has had instances of emergency and national issues (Bridge to NoWhere!).

If the economy is bad you don't raise taxes - but under whom did the economy become 'bad' in the first place? That little grey haired guy from Texas right? ;)

And there's nothing wrong with 'spreading wealth'. Are you happy to see people less fortunate than you remain that way all their life? Because then you're terribly selfish.

GO McCain!!! We need experience and someone that foreign leaders will respect. Obama want to only raise taxes and spread the wealth. What how stupid is that. If the economy is bad you don't raise taxes. Obama and Carter deserve to be friends. Sarah Palin has the most experience than the democratic experince combined.
