Have to agree on everything you said about Carlos Mencia, {thumb2}

I have accepted that McCain lost. Doesn't mean that I won't defend him. But Mencia's not the problem.

Thankyou AmyFairyCakes for an honest, and meaningful response. I'm in no way saying that Palin was suited for VP, but I'm also saying that Obama to my knowledge isn't ready to be President, which hopefully he can prove me wrong. And she did know a lot about certain issues, mainly the ones that mean the most to her (Abortion, among other things), but atleast she took a stance on everything. Certain issues, Obama simply just went against what McCain said. And lastly, Obama did absolutely nothing in the Senate but show up and do the group votes. How this makes him more qualified in governing than Sarah Palin who has been with the people on both a local and state figure baffles me. I'm still more for a GOVERNOR running for president over all these SENATORS. But I understand why they go into the senate: so much more power.

However, I do wish McCain would have picked Mitt Romney, or hte other way around. We saw with Obama, despite with HUGE HUGE HUGE help from the media not reporting, that religion/background isn't important unless you're name is Sarah Palin. Was Joe Biden even in this race??? Why weren't reporters allowed to question Obama's dad??? Why did Obama help a proven Pakistani terrorist a few years ago??? Why did we get stupid answers to questions about Palin's clothes (which they dress EVERY candidate like that -- why was Palin a big deal??), yet the questions were dropped about Michelle Obama + Obama himself.

All I'm saying is we (as John McCain pointed out), the American public, have a right to know these things! They shouldn't be kept from us, simply because a newspaper/media, which is NOT supposed to be biased, decides to not publish whatever. That's why we live in America!!!!!!!!

And to be honest, I find Carlos Mencia to never be funny. Are you aware he has to entirely demean an entire group/individuals to get a laugh? Why is it in this day & age that we always must demean anyone to get a laugh. Also, since he's a "wetback" he probably couldn't vote, or would vote for Obama simply because of his "minority role." He is extremely distasteful, and it's upsetting that not only you, but a good portion of people are not only swayed by what he says (which are usually overexagerations), but the fact that he has that much disrespect for war veterans (who are fighting over ____ all the time so that he has a right to say it) and John McCain like that is a low. If anyone did that to Obama, 48756847487587488754 people would be staging protests/etc. because it's racist/wrong/he's the right candidate.

Obama, how's the stock market doing today after your "first day" of being president? Oh right .. awfully. (Not to say it's specifically his fault, it's all the wallstreet people who didn't think he'd be a good fit for president, and thehy were probably right).
I was just making a point that I find it funny that people think just because he is a veteran and was a p.o.w that makes him qualified for the job. Now I just quoted Carlos because I found his statement to be true and funny. He also said why he didn’t like Obama either because of his inexperience and other crap like that. The part where you said he demeans an entire group of people just seems to be a little weird. I'm guessing that you must of only heard one joke or something from him because his type of comedy is to make fun of every race and every individual. Then after you said it's distasteful you decide to call him a wetback, what the hell is that about. The last thing I'll say is that he has a great respect for war veterans and soldiers fighting over seas. He goes over there and puts on many shows for the soldiers. I respect your views for John McCain because he is a great American and Human Being but don't bash another person just because you feel like it. The truth of the matter is he lost and he has accepted it so how about you start doing the same.

I'm just saying that when you go ahead and bash Palin, just remember you voted in/supported someone who had equally extreme little experience.

But I won't try to disrupt too much, Conrats Obama/dems, but I'm pretty sure the "CHANGE" Obama has described has been attempted by all presidents? What president hasn't stood/wanted Change??
My problem with Sarah Palin stems not from her "inexperience", but more from the fact I simply don't believe that she had the intellect needed to hold one of the highest offices in the world. There's no doubt that she's a smart lady in that she knows how to work the media, a trait her and Obama share, but as far as her knowledge on issues, she seemed to know very little, and seemed highly underprepared. The fact that Obama has a law degree, edited the Harvard Law Review, was a professor of Law, and Senator of one of the biggest states, makes him more qualified in my eyes.

Unfortunately it's entirely over for us McCain supporters: there was hope left with early polls showing that Obama would have fewer electoral counts (which aren't finalized until December 15--but it's pretty much a shoe-in this year it will be OBama).

I have to say that Senator McCain will always be one to be admired by this country. In terms of service to the country, not one more of any of these candidates deserved it mroe than he did; honestly, no matter how you look at it: John McCain deserved it the most. A veteran, POW, long-time Senator.
Congratulations to President Obama. John McCain put up a great fight and should be congratulated also. But to say you have to vote for him because he was a war hero and p.o.w and gave his entire life to the government, bull crap. To quote Carlos Mencia " You want me to vote for a man who was in a war we lost, and he was caught, not to mention he blew up 3 planes

I'm sure this post will get a lot of crap but it was kinda funny

Congrats, Mr. President-elect Barrack Obama.

In terms of service to the country, not one more of any of these candidates deserved it mroe than he did; honestly, no matter how you look at it: John McCain deserved it the most. A veteran, POW, long-time Senator, bid for President-nom twice, made and passed laws, helped with the Homeland Secruity Counsel and 9/11 "research" (please no comments on that!!!!! Haha), etc. This man has spent his entire life serving the great country he loves, but there's nothing more to do. McCain made a very impresive and composed speech, and was very respectful of Senator Obama.

And to all you Palin haters: WHY? What has she done that's so awful that she doesn't deserve to win? Her and Obama are on par people--for the most part.
