Well, my dad will never let me open an umbrella in the house, saying that it will cause bad luck.

I try to keep away from the words "That won't happen" and such...because it turns out that it always for some reason happens.

I follow the common ones like don't walk under ladders and don't smash mirrors etc.
I can't think of any specific ones to me like you said though.

Does anyone have any superstitions? I have one. I won't ride in red cars. This came from an experience that I had many years ago. A relative told me that she had a dream that I was going to get into an accident on a bridge, and get hurt in a red car. A few months later I got into an accident, you guessed it, on a bridge. Not taking the chance to see if the other one is true.
