[i]Police take actress to hospital after emergency call

Our favourite O.C. star Mischa Barton has been taken by police from her home in Hollywood to Cedars-Sinai Medical Centre in LA after an emergency call was made. The actress missed the premiere of her new film Homecoming in New York as she was still in hospital under psychiatric hold. A friend of the Mischa’s told People that, ‘She has been dealing with a lot of personal issues. I don't know if she really ever gave up some of the bad habits that had gotten out of control a couple years back.’ The 23-year-old also split up with The Kooks’ Luke Pritchard earlier in the year and was then photographed looking frail and gaunt. The Sixth Sense star said on her blog at the time, ‘The bad just started to outweigh the good and a long-distance relationship is never an easy thing to do.’
