the letter might have been sent before she found out she wasn't doing Eclipse, it was just announced last weekend, but everyone has said it it's been widely reported that she was fired and replaced. From what I hear Rachelle has decided to sue Summit, that does not mean she will be in Eclipse, just that she wasn't the one to break contract, they were and she's entitled to some money.

I thought she dies in New Moon. I must be mixing them up. I need to re-read the series lol

When did you receive this letter? Because all over Hollywood news (okay, that may be exaggerating) but it has been reported, and confirmed that Rachelle has been recast by B.D. Howard.. she (rachelle) didn't know until just before Eclipse started filming.. her official statement is on accesshollywood.com. I may be wrong, but i think she wrote your letter, or you received it before she was informed that she was being recast for the part..

Anyways, the last i heard is that she has been recast, and will not be returning to film the 3rd film of the Twilight Saga: Eclipse. And from what i understand, this is causing quite the uproar with fans.. hence the many petitions and "strikes" i've observed online..

Shes fimling in eclipse! what are you talking about? She sent me a postcard saying " I cant wait to film eclipse in vancouver!" SO.. I dont think theyres going to be a NEW rachelle..

haha, well maybe not everyone, but realistically I only vaguely knew her name and how to pronounce it. Now with this ensuing controversy, I know exactly who she is ahaha.

that is true, she did know about it at the beginning of June, and she could have discussed it with them.. i do see that point,
but it is only ten days! out of three months.. and she is a legal adult, so she could work a few more hours to fit it all in. A very harsh move made by Summit..

I also think Bryce has a "Victoria-esque" look about her, granted much different than the one Rachelle provided us with in Twilight, and soon New Moon. I think she could handle the role very well, but just the thought of recasting an important role in, not the second, but third movie of a saga THIS big seems ridiculous.. to me anyway.

i do see that this is increasing Rachelle's publicity, as well as Bryce's. She is probably and unfortunately gaining bad publicity, but publicity none-the-less. I do wish Bryce the best of luck with the fans, or haters, and hopes she has what it takes to finish what Rachelle has flawlessly started..

I think she exercised poor judgement in waiting to tell them, though recasting the role does seem a bit harsh. Bryce Dallas Howard is a bigger name than Rachelle so it could be a tactical decision on behalf of Summit. Oh well, it won't hurt Rachelle's career - this time last week, a lot of people did not know who she was, now everyone knows the name Rachelle Lefevre.

I know, it's sad, because so many people are bad mouthing her, it's not her fault that she accepted the role, when people wanted Rachelle

I know I feel bad for Rachelle too, but then again, she did wait to tell them she would need time off for Eclipse, so I do see Summit's POV too, but then it will be weird seeing someone else as Victoria since she played it so perfectly and she's played her for Twilight and New Moon.
