Alexa is an industry standard but extremely flawed. Their ranking system isn't bad though. Their ranking system has fanmail at 55,945 which is extremely good. My own site, wiseguyhits, is at 467,000.

Aha. That makes sense. I had no idea how they could gather all of those "facts".

Alexa is generally considered a joke amongst webmasters. They gather their statistics mainly from their toolbar, but because few people actually use it, the sample size is small and the gathered information can be an inaccurate depiction of the internet as a whole.

Hi Everyone!

I usually visit alexa.com when I want some information about a website. When I looked at the demographics for visitors to FanMail.biz, I found some pretty interesting things:

Users seem to be primarily college educated or in college. Most users tend to be female. Most users visit this site at work rather than home (that surprises me). It also says most have an age of between 35-44 years old (surprises me too).

I am not sure how alexa.com collects this information and I am not sure if it is accurate either.

Its still kind of fun to look at though. {thumb2}
