I have my Christmas cards for this year {love}
I love when it gets colder outside and darker in the morning & evenings. It makes me feel all 'wintery & christmassy' :lol:
Christmas is my favourite time of the year too! {??}
I love the dark nights as I like to walk my dog and check out everyone's outdoor decorations! Some of my neighbour's houses look like little Santa grotto's :lol: (Not so keen on the dark mornings myself as it means going to work in the dark :cry: )

Can I ask, do you celebrate any other tradition (i.e. are you Jewish, Hindu, Muslim etc) or are you not religious at all?

Myself, I'm raised in a Christian culture, and I'm very traditional, but I don't believe. I celebrate Christmas because I feel the magic and love of the season, if that makes sense :) I like to buy gifts for my family, things I know they'll like. So I guess, I treat it kind of how Americans treat Thanksgiving.

I haven't started my shopping yet, but I usually do start around now so my eyes are peeled. This year I'll hopefully be in my own (first) home by Christmas, which means I get to put up my Christmas tree. I bought it years ago to use when I lived at my Dads. My room was bigger there, so I had my own tree. I havent used it for years because my room at Mums is too small. But every so often I'll buy decorations for it, just a few here and there. Crystal snowflakes from Stratford, when I went to the theatre for the first time. Just little things that will always be a reminder of significant events in my life. I cant wait to decorate it!

As others have said, I just tend to buy things when I see them no matter what time of the year it is and keep them for Christmas. I don't wrap them until much closer to Christmas though, I just enjoy sitting in the lounge next to the tree with the fire blazing and wrapping presents, it really gives me the Christmas feeling!
Also, I get a lot of my Christmas shopping off Amazon as DVD's etc. are usually much cheaper on there. I order these things about a month before Christmas after I have had the chance to sneakily find out what everyone wants lol.
I always get my Christmas cards in January though in the sales, it saves so much money because you can get some really good quality ones that would usually cost a fair bit for less than a pound :)

We do our Christmas shopping all throughout the year, as and when we see things so it's saves time and money. When most people are just buying their presents, I'll have them wrapped already. There is no need for it to be such a rushed and stressed time of the year. People just make it that way.

Also bought a few edibles already. M&S had some great offers on chocolates that couldn't be passed! :lol:
