I agree with you totally! It seems like they just award the "It" people. :lol:

And before you asked, I watched half of it, and only because Nick Jonas and the Administration were debuting a song and I wanted to see it.

My question is, I wonder if Beyonce wins for Single Ladies will Kanye come out the corner and say "YES! She finally won for one of the best music videos/songs of all time!!" (JK) :lol:

is what pointed it out. And that's unfortunate, because some deserving artists will not get the recognition they deserve.. even other major awards (Emmys, Oscars) will recognize talent even if they aren't popular.

On a bit of an off-note, I was just browsing around some Grammy discussions and news just broke that one of the nominees, Marcus Cooper, once served 8 months in prison for child molestation.. talk about bad timing.
I Think Its All About Good TIming And What You Put Out There....I Dnt Think It Matters On AGE or Looking HOT And Stuff Like That...And What I sAid Was True....lol....It All Depends On Record Sales And What The Radio Plays...And U R Right...It Is Sad Cause SOME People Dnt Get What They Deserve But It Reality. And Yea That Is BAD TIMING... Thanks For Debating With Me :)

is what pointed it out. And that's unfortunate, because some deserving artists will not get the recognition they deserve.. even other major awards (Emmys, Oscars) will recognize talent even if they aren't popular.

On a bit of an off-note, I was just browsing around some Grammy discussions and news just broke that one of the nominees, Marcus Cooper, once served 8 months in prison for child molestation.. talk about bad timing.

You just pointed out exactly what's wrong with the Grammys nowadays - it's no longer an award about actual talent, it's just a popularity contest. That's why so many people think it's becoming irrelevant, that's why there's always outrage and debating within music communities when the nominees are announced, that's why (ironically) they're losing viewers.

Really? I Disagree Only Because Britney Only Got One Award And It Was BEST DANCE SONG...So I Dnt THink Its That Bad Like The Teen Awards...) I Do See What Your Saying But I THink The Grammy's are People Who Who really Talented...BEYONCE, TAYLOR, BLACK EYED PEAS, Ya Know? :) And Remember The Grammy's Are Like "What Songs Play On The Radio Alot" and "What CD's Sold The Best" Ya Know? Meaning rather than awarding musicians that are actually good, they award those that are simply popular and cater to the masses. It might as well be the Teen Choice Awards at this point.
