Well, you can't ever be 100% sure if you don't see the item signed, but it would be considered fraud if they sold autographs advertised as signed by X when they were, in fact, signed by Y. I doubt very much that the celebs selling their autographs on their own websites sell fakes.

I'm considering seriously to pay to get autographs from, among others, Mickey Rooney and Jerry Maren. Now my question then: If I buy them via their addresses or websites, can I be sure they are actually written by them and not for any secretary?
