Sorry to jump in here again, but after reading a very ignorant and uninformed comment on that site, I just had to reply.

That member there clearly don't have any clue about Rob's signing patterns, obviously. Saying "It may very well be him actually signing his fanmail from 2006", and yet the successes (all of the TTM ones in fact) matches to the so-called newer ones as well? He's saying something that is impossible without realising it, it seems... The newer (the few, and I emphasize few, that came back post-Twilight) successes all matches up perfectly with the 2006 successes, when he was basically an unknown.

And I'm just wondering, how come Rob's "secretary" back then, answer Q&A's and questions TTM that fans asked? Odd, as it's a well-known characteristic that secretaries do not reply to questions or Q&A's - secretaries usually have a basic reply pattern, for example "To {name} signature". This forum is full of replies from Rob where he personally responded to questions and so forth on photos!

Besides, most of the Harry Potter actors are actually known to be good signers TTM, and when they don't sign authentically, they'll simply send preprints. Another point worth making, British based actors normally don't use secretaries as much as the US, but would rather send preprints quite simply (of course, apart from huge stars Keira Knightley, Colin Firth and so on).

And no one can forge someone's handwriting and exact alphabet letters that good! Seriously, it's the exact same writing - I'm not going to post all my evidence here, but literally the exact alphabet of letters matches to his TTM replies (his "e", "a", "M", "n", etc. - just go search it yourself, it won't be hard to find).

As I said before, that guy honestly believes Cedric Diggory used a sec, as in for real? Only a select few die-hard HP fans knew who Rob was back then, including myself, so I wouldn't worry myself about Rob's TTM replies just because he morphed from Cedric to Edward overnight...

Sorry for my ramble here!

Thanks once again for all the comments and opinions. That one post with all the examples is very nice!!

And ToTheSea, I beleive that one member over at RS, was refering to just Robert TTM. He didn't mean all TTM autographs were not authentic. ;-)

If his TTM autographs were sec, I'd have had at least one of my requests answered by now

Cant believe the ignorance of one fool in that thread:
I have not heard of any authentic TTM stuff,

This is very untrue that now suddenly his TTM replies are being called secretarial... Very odd that back when he was only know to most people as Cedric from "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", and signed so kindly TTM, no one suspected his replies as secretarial... :? But to me it seems people just think "Twilight = secretarial TTM". But I'm not speaking about you Ryan, I know you just asked us!

But anyways, his TTM replies are most definitely not secretarial, and I think anyone who thinks that, are either uninformed that he signed back when he was an "unknown" and his rpelies looked exactly the same as the few that came after "Twlight". Also, it's very interesting to note that his TTM replies came from where he was filming at that time, like last year when he was filming "Remember Me", the return envelopes got postmarked from NY (too much of a coincidence, plus agents are not present on sets):

Furthermore, the in person autographs do, in fact, match to the TTM ones - from the handwriting to the characteristics in the signature:
Image Image <--- in person at conventions in 2006
Image Image <-- TTM examples pre-Twilight

I see no signs of secretarials there, and Rob even addressed the envelopes himself, and the writing on it looks even more like the in person convention examples (probably because he has to write neater on envelopes!). {up}

Needless to say, Rob doesn't sign TTM much anymore, in fact I haven't seen any replies from him since October 2009 (and he only signed a few then, not to everyone who wrote).

Hope this clears it up! ;-)

I do not own this guide, it was made by Lizanne (lizard) and posted on CelebAutos
Check it:
Hi!

Many of you repeatedly ask about the authenticy of Robert Pattinson’s TTM autographs, so I’ve decided to make it clear here. Firstly, what does his autograph and handwriting look like?

Examples of in person autographs from AutographWorld.com:
Image Image

In person autographs of Robert:
Photo 1: Image
Photo 2: Image
Photo 3: Image
Photo 4: Image
Photo 5: Image

Image Image Image
The above photos are all from different signings, known authentic autographs or from people who have met Robert.

Authentic signed trading card:

The following photos are all TTM autographs received from Robert:
Here is one of the first successes received back in January 2006 (shortly after the release of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”). Here's a scan of that success received January 26, 2006:
Image
Notice the “To” and the “Best Wishes” part, then compare to the scans below.

Image
Now, compare the above photo to “Photo 1” - both are personalized to “Nadine” and it is clear to see that it was done by the same person, meaning Robert. Even the “Best wishes” part is very similar, the TTM one is just more rushed.

Image
Next, compare this photo to “Photo 2”, again, both are signed to “Eva” and it is the exact same handwriting.

Image
You can compare the above photo to “Photo 3”, names are similar.

Image
This is my autograph from Robert, and the “Liz” part is the same as in “Photo 4”.

Image Image
Lastly, look at the way he wrote “Robert” in the above scan and compare to “Photo 5”. Particularly the “ert” part of “Robert” - it matches the in person autograph. You can also compare the other TTM autograph, signed to “Raffael” to his in person “R”.

An old TTM success (2006) from Robert, autograph matches to the trading card:
Image

As for his handwriting, here's a questionnaire he filled out (most likely back in 2006/2007) and two in person examples of his writing:
Image Image Image
It is very clear to see that the above handwriting matches to all the personalisations, all done by Rob.

Now, the signature itself: he usually signs “Rob Patt”, both in person and TTM. Sometimes it is more clear and othertimes a bit more rushed, but it is clear to see the resemblance in the TTM ones and the in person autographs. There are many photos to compare to as his signature never looks quite the same - if it were secretarial (fake), it would’ve been the same style each time as that’s a common characteristic of secretarial autographs. But in Robert’s case, the signatures are different every time but they all still match all in person examples (compare the above images).

Also, Robert wrote some of the addresses on the envelopes himself, so you can look at the envelope (if he sent his own to you) and compare the handwriting to the in person photos too - he wrote my address on the envelope and it is the exact same handwriting as the in person photos of him at the signing.

So, Robert Pattinson's TTM autographs are authentic signed by him. It is not secretarial/fake - I hope this will end these discussions now.
So I really doubt his autographs are sec...I think there are many more proves for them to be authentic.

crisabell, does he still sign a lot? i haven't really kept up on his signing or anything because i am not a die-hard twilight fan (HP is my thing :D) but if he still signs a lot then that is pretty fishy!

and RYAN J., if I had to say, I would think maybe he just signs them as he has time then sends them all out in big lumps of mail. I think his TTM stuff looks close enough to the rushed IP sigs to be authentic but i'm no expert!

Thanks for the opinions! Another thing I was thinking is, Why then are there such long gaps in between replies from him though? I would think with a secretary doing it you'd see replies coming in all the time from him instead of mass mailings like he usually does.
