I support the Alzheimer's Society. I'm a carer so it means a lot to me! {??}

Charity organizations

by dfreely » Thu Jul 08, 2010 5:54 am

I was just browsing around the forum when I came across a thread for a charity auction. When I found out what charity organization it was for, I was shocked, because it was a notoriously bad organization that uses over half it's donations to pay it's own employees. After a closer look, I realized the auction was actually for a different organization with the same name.

This did made me think though - since there are quite a few people here who collect autographs for charitable purposes, and probably more that donate and/or support one, I was wondering what charities do you support and why, and how much does the charity's finances, efficiency, etc matter to you when it comes to supporting one.
