My favorite comedies are

Blackadder - My favorite characters are Blackadder ,in the blackadder (series 1) lord percy, then in Blackadder II, Queenie and In Blackadder goes fourth George!

'Allo 'Allo - I am literally obsessed with it my bedroom is full of pictures of it my favorite characters are Gruber , Helga, Crabtree, Flick and Maria all though I do like them all apart from Bertorelli

Outnumbered - favorite character is Ben

Gavin and Stacey - favorite characters are Nessa and Uncle Bryn

I also love A bit of Fry and Laurie

I think last of the summer wine is one of the best comedies in british history and so is keeping up appearances.

I think Roy Clarke (who wrote Summer Wine, Open all Hours and Keeping up Appearances) is one of the best comedy writers of all time.

WHY DID LAST OF THE SUMMER WINE HAVE TO FINISH!?

I too adore Only Fools, Fawlty Towers but I personally never found Keeping up Appearances or Last of The Summer Wine remotely funny

I'm collecting 'Carry On' autographs at the moment. Also liked the old stuff like 'You Rang M'Lord', 'Are You Being Served?', 'It Ain't Alf Hot Mum', 'Allo Allo', 'Hancock's Half Hour', 'Up Pompeii'...

'Blackadder' is also fab!

My favourite comedians are Eddie Izzard, Billy Connoly and Michael McIntyre. Eddie is my favourite, easily.
