Geez, calm down, nobody's bragging, it's just an observation. I wrote to Sparky earlier this year to ask if he'd sign an 8x10 for my brother and that it was going to be his Christmas present. He signed it despite including a card that stated that he no was no longer able to sign autographs. That will always be my fondest memory of Sparky.

Well, as long as you brought it up, I have the last success posted on SCN. It's an 8x10 Sparky personalized to my brother, it will be his Christmas present (don't tell him, he doesn't know).
Well Congratulations but who gives a sh*t this man is dead. I made this post to let people know that a baseball legend has passed, and to let people share stories to help with the grieving process. NOT so selfish people can brag about who got his autograph last! Seriously stop.

I got his autograph at the first of the year. Great man in and out of baseball. We have lost 2 great, humble men who were always shocked at the popularity of themselves. Sparky Anderson and Bobby Thompson (shot heard round the world ), i got a personal email from his grand daughter after Bobby died and said how much he was humbled when he got the letters from people.
