I've learned a lot from this hobby, especially doing IP signings. Stars are rarely what you think they are. Some of my favorites I'm sorry that I ever met because they were so nasty and rude. Other people that I was kind of luke-warm to really turned out to be fantastic people.

Respect for the artistes I've written to and gained more information on their past/ present work.

You guys have learned a lot of things! Autograph collecting is really a valuable hobby. {up}

I have learned (and I still do)>

- to write in a readable nice way
- postal system and delivery things I´d otherwise never know
- little bit more about filmmaking
- converting different units/currencies etc. I´d otherwise never bother to learn
- picture editing
- that some people will scam you whenever they get a chance for a couple of stamps or money

and a lot more, I just cannot think of it now. 8)

I have learned to be patient which is something I'm not usually good at. I've also learned more about how the mail system works.

Is there anything you've gained/earned through this hobby?

For me, of course all of my precious autographs :mrgreen: and best of all, patience. Some people I see here seem to be more and more impatient as their collection starts to grow, but in my case, I get more and more calm. Plus, as I have to run over to post offices now at anytime, to send out my requests or buy IRCs, I'm now getting rid of my trademark "couch potato" LOL :D Anyways, those are all positive, and although my mom thinks I'm wasting all my money on this hobby, it's worth it. :D
