Or have a slight paranoia if you're out/at work and won't be able to check your mail and you sit there, watching a HUGE downpour out the window, wondering if there could be a slight possibility your mail could get wet!? Or even just the tiniest leak in the letterbox soaking through.
Our letter box is pretty old and rather exposed, so on a rainy day you can imagine our mail gets pretty waterlogged, especially if it has been jammed in the top compartment (which it usually is; I send out 6x8's in a large envelope), so I'm always watching out to see if the postman has come by.
I hate the thought of him dropping off one of my returned SASE's and it's sitting there in the rain >.<
