Further to that, sales posts are the only time a bump is allowed. Also, if bumps are used excessively, it's seen as spamming & the user may be warned. Posting a topic & bumping it hours later because you've had no replies is not acceptable :)

A bump is simply a post used to return an old thread back to the top of the list.

For example, if the person who posted that sale wasn't able to find any buyers and the thread has been pushed back by newer threads, he bumps the thread so that it goes back to the top and people can see it.

Hiya i see the word bump all the time is there a reason for it and if there is what does it mean just ill see like a post saying for sale steven gerrard autographs then ill see bump by the side of it im like :roll: and i have asked a user the other month and the user has never replied please some 1 tl me thanks
