Quite how the rise of email is the governments fault I am not sure. That seem a typically silly partisan American comment. Hell, if it were not for the law stipulating postages prices cannot rise higher than inflation, none of us could afford this hobby. The reality is postal services everywhere are hurting (although, no where near as badly as you guys)
