Okay @ryanj he is one of the most reasonable people on here i have to agree with him on this post yes sometime me and him don't agree on things but HEY !! isn't this hobby about bringing out your opinions ?? i don't give out my addresses especially the private ones i met debby ryan in person and i asked her for a fan address and she gave me her home address which i got a rep lie from her in 2 week yes i did post my success but i'm not giving out her home address because i don't want it to get spammed and I'm sure she doesn't eather and i know it isn't a rule on the forum but i think that you shouldn't be aloud to post emails on here especially the the private ones because people will spam these just to get free autographs to sell on ebay !! hope you understand my point :)

Yes, please explain when you've seen me 'Get Angry'?? And I don't brag about not posting email addresses, I just want to let people know that I'm unable to just give them out because they message me all the time asking for them, still do to.

And what does this quote mean? are you being sarcastic?? you complain because people won't give out addresses, then say too many people spam them because they've been posted?? Are you like Bi-Polar??
joe316 wrote:That has already happened so it is too late for that as most of the addresses in the database don't work because they probably got spammed and new ones that people get aren't being shared with anyone.

Nobody will share FREE email successes addresses. Why should these other people have to post addresses from successes they paid for.
I think your just mad cuz someone didn't give you something. I've never seen Ryan get mad... ever.

T I N Y wrote:Why let people post with out giving addresses? I mean they post a photo of someone that they got and autograph from and tell this nice little story. Then they go on to "more or less" tell you they're better then you and they're not going to give out the address because they don't want people to send the person mail......LOL ***? This is what this website is about helping other collectors get the information they need. Not going " LOOK WHAT I GOT" but you can't have it... They got the address from someone but they won't pass it on??? Doesn't seem fair. So I feel if you post a success you should give the address. If not don't post it. They sent mail to the person for an autograph why is it so bad that someone else does too? It just doesn't seem fair to read about someone you've been looking for and address for then it says " sorry I'll never give it out so don't ask"...That's just BS!
The moderators can't be bothered to do their job. For some reason they deleted my post but refuse to delete anyone else that brags. They all on this board just seem let people brag about their success and make fun of others saying ha ha I got a success and you don't deserve to try and get one too. I'm not giving it out because I am the best and only one who deserves an autograph. Or they make up this stuff about how they pretended to be searching for hours to find the address that nobody else looking for days could ever find.

One person had the guts to send Miley Cyrus mail to her personal home success and bragged about the secretarial signed photo that they got. How pathetic to bother a celebrity in their private life with an autograph request.

That's perfectly fine! I understand what your saying, Just so many other members on here have abused addresses in the past and then later on resell the signed photos just for money, so naturally other members aren't going to just give out the addresses, because you can never really trust what their going to do with them.

There was also a member on here a while back (ink&bones) who would just write every email address he could find then post successes videos on his site and half of the ones he got back, he would say "no idea who this is, but got a reply from them just the same!" {down} and people later on would write and get a 'I'm sorry, so many people have emailed me, I can't keep up with the demand so no longer sending out signed photos'

Years back, we never worried about emails getting spammed or VV addresses being flooded with mail, but as this site has grown over the years I've been here, and still new members joining all the time, it's simply gotten out of hand, I remember when members getting VV & email successes were few and far between on here and now it seems like I see tons of them on the forum each day.

also wanted to clarity, I do post management addresses, if their ones I've gotten either from here or a celebrity's official site, but like I said I can't post management addresses if I was asked directly by them NOT to. I respect the people I write to, and I'm not going to go behind their back and post it.

Yeah you'd think they might help if you asked them in private, But the two people I've sent messages to and asked very nicely for some help on a really hard address have said "On the post it said I'LL NOT GIVE IT OUT" So I'm not giving it out....I thought that was kind of harsh..

He's telling the truth on that. He knows what he's doing, he doesn't post to just show off what he got.
There's member that don't post the address because there's people who aren't registered here that come and get the addresses to sell. I hate it when you PM the person and they say "Sorry, not giving it out" that's the wore. Ryan won't give them out, but he'll point you in the right direction or give some helpful tips.
Sounds awfully a lot like your saying he's another show off.
I hate it even more when some one tells you "Don't even try that address" even though you searched it and found it yourself....
I'm not calling him a show off at all...I'm just tired of all these "don't even ask posts" I feel that a success post should = address. That's all.If they don't give the address they shouldn't post it.
Fair and simple is all I'm saying. I have a lot of successes that I won't give out the address for. But I don't post them for everyone to see either...That way no one knows I got such and such's autograph by sending it to his mothers house. Or whatever. I'm sorry if you feel I'm aiming this all at Ryan. I'm not really theres a lot of people on here that are doing it more and more here lately..Soon we're not going to have any addresses to get because people are going to stop sharing them.
ohhhh.

I understand if they don't wanna directly post them, but when you messaged them you'd at least think they'd help you.

RYAN-J wrote:I do post addresses that I use, but for emails I don't. if their's a return addres on the envelope, then yes, I'll post that. Many times I will ask the managements that I'm in contact with, if I'm free to post the addresses they provided me and if they say 'YES' then I will, but sometimes they ask me not to, as they can't accomodate lots of letters coming in and prefer that I do not pass along the addresses.

I had a couple issues years ago where I posted addresses that I was given by managments and they found out and promptly contacted me saying I need to remove the addresses, so I learned from my mistake and won't post those unless given written permission to do so.

No you do not post all the addresses you use...Like you said I don't post addresses from VV or ones I've got from managements. So on and so on..It's in big bold print right in your signature on the bottom of every one of your posts. Plus I've seen other posts where you make little comments like " I've always figured if their collecting TTM to begin with and have to hunt down pics and take time to write the letters and addresses envelope and print photos off and buy supplies, most collectors won't mind looking for addresses, I guess it depends on how dedicated you want to be to the hobby. If you put in a little effort, you get a little success, if you put in a lot of effort & research you get bigger replies, and I don't mean autograph wise, but in terms of who your able to contact if you put forth more effort." So more or less you're saying If you don't work hard and search and search for these addresses all by your self with no help you'll not get good contact info.Or that people buy the stuff and print the photos so they should have to find the addresses without help and if it's easy to find it's not any good. That's not very collector friendly. I've seen post where you tell people "DON"T POST THE ADDRESS" you're telling people not to be helpful to other collectors.
I've seen 2 moderators on the same post about how they're not going to give out an address..It doesn't matter about an address. If the people didn't want mail at it they wouldn't give it out to anyone at all. Like you said you get addresses from managements..Well if they didn't want mail sent there why would they give it to you then?Unless you get them for some other reason like your work or something. Then just use them for your personal use without people knowing to get autographs.Like I said before it's just not fair. Plain and simple it's just not fair and it's not right..This is a ADDRESS DATABASE! But yet some people won't give out addresses? That's like going to McDonalds and them saying " no we don't sell Big Macs anymore" It just doesn't make sense. I'm not the only one that feels like this either there's a lot I mean A LOT of people with the same view on it. It would just be nice and courteous to your fellow collector that if you're going to post a success. Post the address with it. If not then just don't rub in other peoples faces that you got it but they can't even try.
And by all means I'm not talking to you directly Ryan about everything I say here.I'm talking to all of them that do it.
