Robert B. Sherman (of the famous "Sherman Brothers") passed away in London this past evening.
Along with his brother, he co-wrote some of the most famous Disney/movie songs ever, including "Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" (and most songs from Mary Poppins), the title track from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, and the Disney theme park classic "It's a Small World", among many many others.
He has won Academy Awards, Grammy Awards, as well a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and an induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame.
