Been feeling sorry for Phelps lately but the swimming finals tonight were amazing and he's now the greatest Olympian ever, woohoo! I really enjoyed watching the mens gymnastics yesterday, Britain only won a bronze but it's the first medal Britain has won in gymnastics in over 100 years! Looking forward to the time trials tomorrow - come on Bradley Wiggins! 8)

I think that's shocking.. Imagine if it was the other way about and Britain cut out America's memorial to 9/11 or something, Britain would come across disrespectful and rude and we'd never be able to live that down. {down}

Should I be surprised they didn't cut it for the premiere of The Marriage Ref, or should I be not surprised they're using every chance they get to do a Phelps fluff piece?

This about sums it up about how we hardly get to see anything live, and how pis$ed off everyone here is about it {down} :roll:

I'd also like to say, NBC (they are the company broadcasting the olympics in the US) also censored out the tribute to the London bombings... they replaced it with Ryan Seacrest interviewing Michael Phelps. God, I feel like I'm living in China or North Korea with all this damned censoring and how controlling they are over the olympic coverage.

I would be raging if my country never shown the Olympics live, I think that's shocking! We have a channel that only shows the Olympics 24 hours a day and if we push the red button we have every other live game to watch. 8)

Haha yeah its definitely for the ratings. I'm going to start watching the events all online so I can see it live, rather then having to watch it after I.already know the results

I REALLY loved the whole thing... Kenneth, Rowan Atkinson, JK Rowling, the history, He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, The lighting of teh torch... it was all amazing! I'm looking forward to everything but womens soccer... :) I LOVED IT!

i did not get to catch the hole opening ceremony but it was great

I'm getting rather pissed off... Here in the States, they wait until prime time to show the main events of the day. They are just showing the swimming and volleyball right now. It's stupid because I see results of the events online but I don't get to see the event on TV until a few hours after its over.

However I was really disappointed with Phelps. People have been saying he was lazy at practices and sometimes skipped practice all together... And its starting to show {down}
