Just ignore them then. It's not their fault, they don't know about your condition they just want to ask a fellow collector for some help. I done the same thing when i started collecting and i had replies back from a lot of very nice people. Moaning will get you no where on here, we're all in the same position. 8)

Thanks for the replies.

I think I could have explained myself better. This isn't a sob story but the facts of my life. I have moderate to severe long term health problems. I can't always spend much time on the fourm. When I do come onto the forum time is limited, although I do help many out, especially in Collecting Help with the UK post system.

So, when people PM me looking to be spoon fed, I get annoyed. Why can they not spend 2 seconds more posting a topic or doing a search to see if they can find the answer that way.

I don't, but I guess I am still relatively new here.
I get PM's on my Facebook Autograph Page, but I answer every single one. It is polite to do so.
But if anyone did PM me here I would help them out.
This hobby benefits from us helping one another out, right?

Or am I too soft?

I get them all the time. If you don't want them just ignore them, I don't really see what the big hassle is! 8)

So perhaps I have a big sign somewhere saying "PM me if you need help"- not that I can see it since on my signature I ask people not to PM me with questions.

I get asked about stamps, how to get started in the hobby etc.

Does anyone else get PM's like this?

It seriously annoys me. Why can't they post on the forum like everyone else.

I usually ignore them, or if they annoy me enough I reply asking them to post on the forum.

I don't want to disable PM'ing but I may have to!!!
