So I lost my job last summer at Quizno's as they went out of business (lack of business). And I haven't been able to find anything since. I've had countless interviews but no jobs. I really have no idea what to do anymore. And I live in a small town in Iowa and it's getting rather annoying that I keep having to apply to the same places I've already applied to like 3+ other times. And I really want to get back to my autograph collecting but can't. About the only thing I can afford right now is the envelopes but I need the IRC's and the stamps :/ Very disappointing. I have like a list of people I want to send to but can't. I know my main issue is I don't have that much work experience. The longest I've ever held down a job is 3 months and that one wasn't my fault why I got let go. Because this was at Papa Murphy's and the manager over hired and had to let some people go.
The only bright part about my year so far is that I FINALLY got to go see my favorite band, KISS in Minneapolis in August. Which was a totally awesome show. And wow, I was wiped out for 2 days after. And those tickets I got for my birthday from the parents. Then of course, about a month after loosing my Quizno's job Dad surprised with tickets last year to go see Bret Michaels (also another personal favorite artist) for my birthday last year. And then for Christmas last year he got me tickets to go see Rock of Ages (which is a really funny and fun show if you love the 80's music, like I do).
Other than that, this year has been a bust. I really am at my wits end here. Because I keep getting loan notices from my college loans saying I have to pay it. I can't defer one and go the monthly payment down to about $50 a month (which I can, surprisingly get). But another one just came in and that ones $300 a month but I still can't afford that, no way. I just had an interview on Wednesday with K Mart. But it's a two step interview process and I haven't heard back from the other manager yet. So I'm thinking I may wait until Sunday afternoon or early Monday and call back. Or maybe even call tomorrow, just to remind them I'm still interested. And I basically told the manager I'm willing to do any and everything to get a job and that I was desperate.
Well I'm done, just any help you guys could give me would be great. I really am at a lost here. And I already am part of 2 employment agencies and haven't heard from any of them. And they said, they call you when something comes up for a possible job. *sigh* I need to go do something to cheer myself up but what? *shrugs* Everything I like to do costs money
