The death was announced of the legendary astronomer and presenter of The BBC astronomy series The Sky At Night, Sir Patrick Moore. He died aged 89 and had worked to the very end. He was the BBC's longest serving presenters and was famous for wearing his trademark monocle in each of his programmes. A foremost authoritarian on astronomy, his programme, The Sky At Night was approved by other experts in the field. He will be sadly missed.
