I have seen several same shows in Indy and Chicago. In all, merchandise sold in Chicago has always been much more expensive. This is partially due to a higher tax rate in Chicago. I know typically 1/2 of the concert merchandise revenue sales goes to the venue itself. I do not think the artist sets the price of their merchandise. Hope this helps! :D

I've never been so disappointed. I've seen Bon Jovi several times and I could not believe they were charging $45 for the cheapest concert tee! This is the first show I've attended that I did not buy a concert tee! That price is absolutely ridiculous and I don't think I will ever spend that kind of money to go see Bon Jovi again, because I know he makes enough off of concert ticket sales that there is no reason to sell the T-shirts for that much!
