Unfortunately, you can't post on here anymore without getting trolled.

That being said, I am a person who always wants comments of authenticity. I have no use for garbage-filler in my collection. When I get my own place, I want to fill it with my successes so that I can enjoy them. I will never enjoy a secretarial, pre-print, or autopen. They are useless. I realize that some people don't want to be informed. I respect that, but if you post your success to a forum-- whether for admiration or to help show a valid address-- you must expect comments on validity. I know I expect them... I want them!

Such is not the reason that I quit posting my successes here. It is the disrespect. Many are so rude here! There are some truly great people on here who have great success and others that I respect the opinion of (because they know what they are talking about.) I know the names of those I respect would be a great debate on here, and I'm not going to list them for that reason. They should know who they are. Unfortunately, the opinions of these people are outweighed by the stupid posts by our resident trolls. I now only post successes to ST for that reason. I, every now and then, have a comment or two on here, but for the most part, all of my posts concerning autographs are almost exclusively on ST for the same reasons.

That all being said, I also want to note that the spam is atrocious and rampant, and this place is in great need of good moderators with CONTROLS. The title of Moderator is useless without access to controls.

I guess this is all my way of saying "Goodbye" to those I've respected on here... all the people who know what they are talking about, all of the Degrassi and horror fans, all of the charity collectors. I will pop on often to check and answer and send messages, but I will rarely post from here on out. I haven't posted much for some time now.

That all being said, keep up the good work for your charity, StillLuckyAs13CanBe. I love following your successes. Oh, and James, keep up the good work with your IP successes!

You know what they say... there's a time and a place. The time is when you choose, the place in this case is the discussion forum. Being as it is a discussion, you have to expect differing views. Some will present their opinion sensibly, some will act like big kids. Personally, I'd like to think I was polite in my response and well reasoned. Reality isn't great sometimes, and this place would be great without trolls, but in a forum where people can post what they choose (just look at the guy in the Britney post on the front page just now if you need an example of how people will post anything and everything no matter how disgusting or backwards it is) you just have to learn to deal with it. I totally respect your opinion, but completely disagree with it. There is a medium in the middle of trolls and not commenting, and that's those who point out fakes etc with manners. That will never change, and never should because it's critical in development of the hobby. Don't apologise for having an opinion, unless it's offensive to someone.

Perfectly summing up the points about intelligence of trolls. Your post was designed to cause problems, and it failed. Hard luck. Even the most simple of people would be able to note the OP is not an Admin or Mod. Another addition to the block list. Ah bliss...

I'm sure a lot of people would be all for a no trolling rule. I mean it is a common rule on other sites to not troll... Besides we have a forum already for authenticating other autographs, you don't need to do that in Feedback... Feedback is just for saying which addresses will send back things. Plus the rudeness on here is a big turn off for me, and it looks like I'm not the only one who feels this way. Something should be done about it, shouldn't be too hard to make this rule.
Or at least make a rule in feedback for not asking about or posting about authenticating since there is a forum for that already.

Okay, let's wake up and see the reality of this....

1. Pointing out that an item is not genuine is not trolling.
2. Posting "troll", "you're a hater", or these ridiculous "rent free" digs constantly is.
3. The same applies to this ridiculous habit of using signature lines to mock other posters.
4. Yes, there's a "is my autograph authentic?" forum, but someone who believes that they have an authentic will not post in there as they see no need.
5. I still do not understand why pointing out something being non authentic is an issue... it would happen on ANY autograph forum. It would happen on any forum of any sort. "Hey, I just bought this awesome work by one of the Old Masters. You say it's a fake? Hell no, I don't want to know that, I just spent money on it". "What do you mean this rare football programme I just bought is a reprint? I don't believe you, go away"
6. Admin doesn't care, the mods have no power. That's why people are allowed to have free reign, it's why there are no rules per se any more, it's why the trolls and trouble makers get away with what they want.
7. Above all, the trolls are easy to spot. They're the ones who post the same thing over and over again, the same phrases or the same ideas. With zero back up of ideas other than "I'm right and I will keep on saying it".
8 To give you a real idea about how moronic some of these people can be... at least one of them likes to come on my charity fundraising blog and leave abusive comments on it. They're not intelligent enough to know that there is an auto filter on it to stop those comments being seen. They also seem incapable of realising the block button on here allows comments to be ignored. Great fun, as they're never even seen and despite this some posters continue to post comments directed at me.
9. We are all guilty of biting at trolls, when you shouldn't, me included but the fact is if you don't feed them, they get bored. Engaging in drama queen behaviour with them does nothing but continue things. I wonder how quickly certain posters would shut up if everyone who actually posts on this forum with common sense hit that block button (ironically titled "add foe") and didn't engage them in conversation. After all, if you can't see the dross they post, you don't feel compelled to respond.

Bottom line, again, this is a forum on the internet. It's for the public to use. If you can't handle other people's opinions on what is REALITY then the internet might not be the place for you to interact. If someone is bullying, abusive or troublemaking, call them on it but if you're just going to sit back and say "I don't think people should comment on authenticity because it's not right" then a reality check is needed.

I think the "Is My Autograph Authentic" place is for like when you buy autographs on ebay or amazon or etc. I think that it's different if it's TTM or VV VS if you bought it. What is the point in making 3000+ "Is my John Travolta sig real" via agency in the "Is My Autograph Authentic" section?

BTW Dave it depends on the person. Like with you, I wouldn't "be nicer." But someone like my associate Leo or Kayla, I would be. But don't think it's because of you. Because it's not. I stay me 100% . And I don't think it would matter how I said things. You would always say "troll" no matter what, so i'm not gonna change anything.

You're now on the defensive. You're showing your true colors and acknowledging the fact that I get to you. That really wasn't my intention, but well, okay. You're actually trying to be "nicer" in posts from time to time.
I still enjoy the rent free space....although there are roomier spaces lately.
What do you mean "nicer?" And You haven't got to me...I love that you think that...and i think it's funny that each time I post something, you say "troll" LOL!
