Buying Autographs

What do people see in buying autographs of celebrities?
I mean i don't see the point of buying a signature if it wasn't really signed for you.
I think sending in mail and the celebrity knowing they are signing whatever you want signed for you is way more interesting than just purchasing from someone online.


Maybe its just me that sees this..
