THANKS for the reply. I can afford to loose it fate choose it to be. I payed 5 bucks for the comic and can easily get another one if i dont get mine back. It was just something i was wondering about. I dont have a scale so i dont know how much the comic weighs but i bought a big envolope that fits into a smaller one that fits the comic. Now im not sure exactly how they deal with mail in the rain or bad weather in genral but should i put the comic in a plastic sleeve? Will they pull it out to sign it or will they sign the sleeve? I guess there are alot of possibilitys when sending an item. THANKS again :D

The general rule is to send what you can afford to lose. You can pretty much send whatever you like to a celebrity to sign, provided that you will be happy (but obviously a bit disappointed) if you never see it again.

Things get lost in the mail, things get misplaced at a celebrity's agent etc., so if you have anything valuable that you can't bear to part with, don't send it.

So, if you are willing to send a comic book off to be signed - go ahead. Just make sure that you can bear to part with it in case it never comes back to you.

Also, you must remember to be able to have enough postage to send your item to the celebrity, and a self addressed, stamped envelope ([url=http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=14169]SASE[/url]) with enough postage on it to have the item you sent returned to you.

As for postage costs from the east coast to the west coast, I am not 100% with the postal prices at the USPS. However, take a look at this link [url=http://www.fanmail.biz/mboard/viewtopic.php?t=14167]here[/url] which lists the US postal prices.

Thanks for that detail. One of the reasons i was asking is because if i send a comic would they be confused on how to sign it. Also from reading on this forum is that alot of celebs have presigned pics of them. Would i get my comic back if this is his prefered choice of sending sigs? Im prutty sure he isnt as popular as ben afflek but he could still have a prutty busy schedule. I was also told he is the harder one to get in person because he is on the west coast and not in NJ like the rest.

There is only one thing I can answer is that sending a marker pen is not nessecary. Celebs have autograph pens coming out of their ears :wink:

Im about to send a sig request to jeff anderson(CLERKS). I have kevin smiths sig and jason mewes sig. Those i bought directly from viewaskew. Those sigs are on comic books. I like the idea of the sig on the comic book because there easy to take care of. I was wondering if its a good idea to send a comic too jeff? I was also wondering if it helps to include the pen or marker for him too sign with. I was also wondering wat it cost to send a comic threw usps from east coast to west coast? Any info would be apreciated. THANKS
