Anyone ever sent an action figure or something to be signed?

I don't see why he wouldn't take care of it. All he's going to do is take it out of the box sign it and put in a box. As far as the figure and 3 pics. at once. I'm old school were 2 items is the max. I wouldn't press my luck, my main concern would be to get the figure signed you can always send pics. at a later time.

That is what I was thinking. I wanted to send a star wars celebration 3 exclusive vader figure to him. Anyways, between my brother my dad and I, we own about 20 or so(We are obseesed with Star Wars...lol).

My only problem was, do you think the signers would take care of the figure when they sign and send it back?

Also, do you think it is bad sending a figure, and 3 photos for signing. Or sohlud I wait and send them seperately.

James Earl Jones has always been a very reliable signer TTM and are authentic. The only time he has refused requests ttm was during the anthrax scare in 2001. I would definately send the figure to him. It would probably cost you about 3.50 each way and I would send it in a box that you can get at your post office. Make sure you send a self addressed box with sufficient postage so it can be returned to you. Unless the US mail screws up I see no reason why you wouldn't get it back.

One big word of advice which was already mentioned but it requires mentioning again is this, don't send anything to a celebrity which you would not want to loose.

The item could get lost in the mail, or the item might get taken. There have been reports of people sending things thru the mail to a celebrity to sign but they never got their things back. For example, people have sent photo's to sign only to get a letter back stating that they need to pay to get an autograph but their photo's were not returned.

Only send things that you don't care if they get lost or not. I only send photo's to sign but these are photo's which I print up so if they get lost, stolen, et al, it's no loss to me.

When sending anything to be signed, only send something you can afford to lose.

You have to be mindful that things can get lost in the post, so anything you send to be signed is at your own risk!

Plus, you have to be mindful of postage costs to send the item to the celebrity, and back to you.

If you want your action figure signed, it's best if you try to have it signed in person ... at least you know you won't lose a collectable action figure this way.

when i first was collecting autos, like prolly 10 years ago i sent a christmas ornament (in box) model kit and diecast car (in box) to jeff gordon. it took awhile, but i got them all back signed.

yes , cause maybee the star dosent sign thru the mail ! so if you like your action figure , maybee he will not send it to you ! but if you want , you can try !

Hmm, do you mean get the box signed or the actual figure? It might be kind of tricky to sign a figure =/

I am a very big Star Wars fan and I am wondering if anyone has every tried sending an action figure(MIB - mint in box) to be autographed and sent back? If so, do you ever get it back, and does it get dammaged, or is this something you should probably only do at a convention or in person. As I said I am a bi SW fan I am wondering about sending somethign to james earl jones.
