Most of my favourite quotes are lines from Patience Strong poems. I think her poem's are so beautiful, she had so many lovely words to say.
"Thrush and blackbird make no music down the frosty ways, but the quiet heart remembers in December days.
Songs that filled the airs of June with golden melody. It is always Summer in the lanes of memory." (Patience Strong, Memory Lane)
"Mourn not with a broken heart when someone near and dear is called to take the unknown road. Have faith and never fear." (Patience Strong, Love is There)
"Love will meet the faithful soul and take the trembling hand. Love is there to guard and guide towards the happy land." (Patience Strong, Love is There)
"Faith is waiting in the shadows, patient, silent, starry-eyed. Give the signal, speak the word and she will hasten to your side." (Patience Strong, When Faith Appears)
"Build you castles but remember dreams are not enough - Castles must be underpinned with sterner, stronger stuff. Courage and determination, faith and energy: Those we need to turn a dream into reality." (Patience Strong, Go on Dreaming)
"Keep your dreams - whatever else you lose upon the way. Keep your secret vision and wherever you may stray - hold it fast against your heart and never let it go - then beyond the clouds you'll always see a golden glow." (Patience Strong, Keep your Dreams)
"Death means separation. Earthly bonds are torn apart - But nothing breaks the cords of love that bind the faithful heart. Somewhere in the angel-country of God's happy land - We shall see His purpose; we shall know and understand." (Patience Strong, The Bereaved)
“This is our purpose: to make as meaningful as possible this life that has been bestowed upon us; to live in such a way that we may be proud of ourselves; to act in such a way that some part of us lives on.†(Oswald Spengler)
“Do thy duty, even if it be humble, rather than another’s, even if it be great. To die in one’s duty is life, to live in another’s is deathâ€. (A quote from the Bhagavad Gita)
