You basically have 3 years (until 2011, to be in consideration for a place in the 2012 team). So you have 3 years to get to a world class level to compete in the 2012 games.
You've already said you're not very good at it, so do you think you can go from "not very good" to "Olympic class" in 3 years?
If yes, go for it. If no, then, well, dont.
It's very possible. Liu Xiang from China did it. They said he was terrible in 2000 and look at him now, he won a gold medal in '04. I think anything is possible. 3 years is a lot of time..hey, maybe I might play volleyball for college.
I'm sorry, BABii_ANG3L, but I agree with Andy316 here. Realistically speaking, there is not a very good chance that you will get that good in three years. I know that Liu Xiang did it, but he practiced A LOT. My guess is that he spent all his time doing volleyball. I may be wrong, but I don't think you have that much time on your hands.
I think that being on an Olympic Volleyball team is a great goal. But you might want to wait until you're really good. Try taking some private lessons, or try for college. I'm not trying to get you down, but I don't think you have a good chance of being on that team in 2012.
Sorry. But don't let me get you down. If you really think you can do it, then pay not attention to me.
Good Luck
