I agree with all you said early :/

I'm a beginner collection autos and I'm trying to write to my top ten, like someone just said; I'm not asking for autos of all people. Including SFM, I've only requested two of them xD
I don't want to have too many, I want to have a few that I like.

I collect Email success from only someone I love. But I usually go the extra mile and send postage for them

I know this is old but I will bump it anyway!

What about me?

I am collecting for charity - I am on a shoe string budget of about £18 for over 350 celebs - I need e-mail!

So far the majority of positive responses have been by e-mail!

I really see your point! - If you really are a fan just spend £1/$1.50 (I wish $2 - thats why Im fundraising due to the collapse of the £)

Thankss,

Cal

Hello,
I totally agree.To tell you the truth I only wrote my top 10 people.Most people write celebs when others post their feedback and the photo was sent by the celeb or it was a fast success.It's for their autograph collection to reach high :roll: .That is not nice.. :mad:

I think you should be able to post them, just not be entered in the $10 gift certificate. I collect because I want to, not to sell.

Ive seen one idiot actually admit he had no idea who the celeb was. I dont mean not knowing his name, I mean not knowing what he was famous for. People like this annoy me (to put it lightly)

Great Idea {thumb2} !
x hayley x wrote: Good point, but how could they possibly decide who can have access to it? Even people who have been members for a long time still request autographs just for the sake of it, so they couldn't exactly go by the date they joined or anything.
I suppose they could look at past successes of members and see how many were email compared to TTM, but that would take forever checking every single members history!
Well, to avoid having to check everyone, people could request access to the forum;
So only people who request access have to be checked.

Yep; that's what I'm thinking about too - anyone who would like to request for access can contact a GM/AE/Mod (admin can decide this) who will run a background check on that member, and decide if they should be granted access to that forum. However, minimum requirements should be setted u; for example, any one who requests access to the email forum must have at lease 300 constructive posts and must have been a member on this forum for 6 months.

What an original idea, you didnt rip that idea from http://s10.zetaboards.com/SAC06/index/ did you? Seeing as that forum has done it for over a year :roll:
Andy - please do not misunderstand me :o

I am not "ripping ideas", I am just borrowing it from another wonderful forum which I am proud to be a member of - ACCF :mrgreen:

I believe you too as an honourable collector would like to prevent these celebrities' emails being spammed by people who just want a quick autograph, and since the ACCF has such an effective idea to do so, then maybe fanmail should put it in place too :)

However, if this is a copyrighted idea and/or it is illegal for fanmail to use it, then please notify me and I will take back the idea {thumb2}

Thankyou.
