There were rules at one time but they kinda went to pot. Like jdp said, it's not going to matter. They can become a TM but that doesn't mean they'll ever make it to be a full moderator since we have the final say. But nice of you guys to try the whole rules thing. We'll have to see what admin thinks.

There should have been rules for becoming a TM and since there isn't any up to now, we have got to build a set of rules and we must do that now.

Yesterday, KASSiDY (using a different account) applied for TM, luckily loveryan post in in the mods forum and we identified her..

Personally, I think it would be a great idea to have rules such as these in place {thumb2}, particularly with regard to how long members have been on this site and both the quantity and quality of their posts but, like John said, I'm not sure if it would make a lot of difference as this has been discussed many times in the past..

While I'm sure someone has most probably already suggested it, what about a Trainee Moderator poll open to all full and global Mods, regardless of teams, to vote whether members should be granted Trainee Moderator status? That way, Mods who monitered particular parts of the forums might be able to comment/vote if the member in question has been particularly helpful/knowledgeable in a certain area..?

Just my thoughts.. :)

Something like this: (not limited to..)?

1) must be a member for a certain amount time
2) Must have a certain amount of posts
3) those posts must be useful to other members (ex. not writing "great success" 100 times to get posts up)
4) Not just post in the "game and general discussion" section (at-least post in the helping sections of this site)

What do you guys think

I think that's a great idea. Nothing is more exasperating than a TM asking "what's an SASE?"

On a side-note, I was a part of another forum a while back (non autograph related) and every post you made in the "games" forum didn't show up in your total post count. I thought that that was cool, perhaps there's a way to format these boards in a similar fashion?
