I still don't understand the whole "pre-ban" you suggest admins do as I personally have never seen it done and if it is done like you say it's done Andy I think it's really stupid and childish (I'm not directing that at you).
Could you explain the reasoning behind getting banned at this other board if we're a GM here? It just makes no sense, especially if most of us have done nothing to the admin of that board (at least I'm pretty sure most of us haven't). I really don't understand.

My apologies if I said something untrue about what you said. I was only responding to how I interpreted what you wrote, Andy. :)
I dont really know the full reasoning, I do know that its up for debate and may be changed in the coming days as its being reconsidered, but dont know much more than that..

Admin had all the powers of banning anyone and everyone especially if they broke any rules. There obviously were reasons for the banning(s) and it was dealt with by admin in the way he chose. And anyways, why are you and other possible past members holding a grudge on that? 'Cuz I doubt you are speaking only for yourself. You seem to be representing the entire other forum. But honestly, grow up and move on from that!
No matter what I don't think its right that this new site is withholding anyone from having the opportunity to join. If somebody breaks the rules fine, but to not allow ALL people from anywhere join is in a sense discrimination. I honestly don't care to be on there at this point, like Zanne, Chrissy and Selise have said I'm happy here and slowly but surely this board will see positive change! I just think everyone should have the opportunity to join no matter what your status may be here or elsewhere.

Woah woah woah! *I* am not holding any grudges, I couldnt give a monkeys. The only 2 people I've held any kind of grudge (or had any problem with) are Lizanne and Shambler, both of which as far as I'm concerned, we've buried the hatchet. (Obviously that Tony nutjob could be a grudge, but "grudge" is too light of a word).

At the end of the day its down to the admin on any site as to who they allow/dont allow to join their site, their site, their rules.

Im a member on plently of forums where I know the admins personally, and if theres people they dont like, they get "pre-banned" so to speak, I just dont think its anything new/worth complaining about thats all.

I'm not criticizing anything, Andy. Considering i was away for most of the time that these things were going on due to family issues.

It doesn't make sense to me still and still is a silly reason.

And yes ADMIN banned them, not us.

And as far as i see it, Admin isn't banning anyone who is joining that forum so far.

For the record, its pretty much the same rule here, its just unwritten, so if you criticise there, you're criticising here....

Admin banned demoted several members who ran their own site (and failed) about a year ago, remember that? Rockmadman2007 and his chums?

Its nothing to do with being "active members" here, like I said to you in a PM, its because of your GM status, no more, no less.
Andy, I believe those members were banned because they were mods and TMs here, and decided to start their own site, They were also stealing topics and information from this site. so I dont really see how admin banning them is the same as the GMs being banned for just signing up

Selise and Zanne, i absolutely agree with you!!

If everyone starts leaving this site, how will anything be resolved, how will anything get better at all?? It doesn't make sense. By all working together we are making a difference and making this forum as enjoyable as possible. I think this is one of the most friendly sites out there where people have made friendships with other posters on here. I love the fact that people on here are devoted to helping each other, especially in finding addresses and when people ask for help.

I think it's very inconsiderate and childish to IP ban or block people from a site just because they are active members in another site. I don't know if this admin at that site is still bitter about being banned but it's not fair. I have absolutely no intentions of leaving this site, especially for that site which is so biased.

This site is way better, and has improved a lot!!

Chrissy
