No moderator should request another member to be a moderator without first posting the members details on the moderators forum. This gives all the affected moderators time to comment either way.
Once the person has been reviewed and agreed by the other moderators
only then should they be approached.
Unfortunately we can do little to stop other members from asking to become moderators and it will always be a matter of the current moderators to decide (with Admin

)
We cannot really post a "policy" as some very new members will have a great deal of experience (like Robin) and make fabulous moderators, but more long-standing members might never be suited to moderating

. I'm afraid it looks like the only way to deal with these questionable requests is to refer them to Admin first?
Then if Admin tells them to contact the other moderators then we know they are worth considering

If in doubt, post the details here so we can discuss it further!!!. . . .
