Thanks Ian, nowandagain and Daniel :). All of your support of me and the situation has really made my outlook all the more positive. He's one guy who for some reason got his proverbial undies in a bunch and I still have all of the moderators including you guys to back me up :D. I'm not going to be bothered by his psychotic comments, etc. and I'm going to follow your advice to the letter, Ian. Maybe if he sees others get annoyed with his behavior then maybe it will silence him. I honestly don't know where this situation is going, but Ian, you'll have to let us know if he replies to your PM ;) ;).

Yeah let's see how this plays out.

Like Ian said, let's just see if ignoring him helps at all. If not, just report any problems with him in the mod forum.

It is unfortunate that we can't ban him via IP address. As you're aware, it would also ban legit users (myself included) who use AOL. So that option's pretty much out the window.

Just remain strong. We are all behind you.

No problem :P

I sent the PM, and it "went" OK, so fingers crossed :wink:

Hi Ian :D

Thanks for clearing that up {up}.

Definitely give it a try :), as you'll never know exactly what the outcome will be.

Good luck, and all the best Ian :wink:

Hi nowandagain {up}

Just testing :oops: :lol:

Although, as far as I am aware members with less than 5 posts can still receive PMs from full members, but they cannot send PMs. :?

I will have a go anyway, but failing that I will email him. :P

You are right of course, he won't be able to reply to me until he makes the 5 posts, but I'll give him an email address he can contact me on.

Not my main one obviously :lol:

Cheers,

Ian :mrgreen:

Great ideas Ian {up}.

There's just one minor flaw in this. Isn't the PM system set up so that you can't make / receive PM's until you have a minimum of 5 posts? I believe Eric757 only has 2 posts at the moment, so he won't be able to view / reply to your PM unless he makes more posts.

Correct me if the PM rule has been changed.

Hey Lisa {up}

I am really sorry you are being bothered by him again :x

Like the others have said, unfortunately we can't ban his IP address as there are other legitimate members who post from the same one :?

What I think we are going to have to do is keep a close eye on him as and when he posts. To be honest I think that if we simply ban his new member name then he will just sign up again, getting more and more angry each time.

What I would suggest is that if possible you totally ignore him, and report any bad behaviour to either me, Admin, or another moderator or post via the Moderators forum. That way if we have cause to warn him in the future the warnings will come from people other than you, so he won't have cause to reproach you :wink:

That way I feel the "fixation" he has with you might be broken when he sees other members also see his behaviour as being offensive.

In the meantime I am going to PM him and ask him politely to behave in future. At present he has no idea of the (lack of :wink: ) steps available to ban him permanantly, and I am going to play on that a bit.

I'll post again if I get a reply :|

Thanks Lisa, and I like all the other moderators am 100% behind you, only the circumstances of this one are a bit tricky :lol:

I guess he doesn't realize he contradicts himself with his little "Adam West doesn't sign without paying" and then "Adam West only signs if you send him something", etc. etc. Maybe he'll simmer down and grow up soon.
Definitely. He's starting to contradict himself now :lol:.

Lets hope he doesn't cause any more trouble online.

If you block Eric757, he'll just come back as another alias again. You can't block the IP since others also use the same one :( and you don't want to block the legitimate users do you?

The only thing you can do at the moment is remain vigilant 8) and if he behaves, it'll be ok. However, if he does play up again, then edit his posts, or in serious circumstances give him a warning.

Good luck Lisa. We're all behind you and will support you {up}.
