Hi Hayley :D

I haven't had my wisdom teeth taken out (yet) and will probably have them removed some time in the future. I've already had 2 normal teeth taken out for my braces, which wasn't too bad. You just have to make sure to follow your dentist's advice after the teeth are taken out to make sure the spot heals properly.

I think it's the same with wisdom teeth. You should go see your dentist and get an x-ray to see how your wisdom teeth are placed in the mouth.

My two top teeth are straight, and have actually started to grow out. It doesn't hurt because they've had room to grow.

On the other hand, my bottom two teeth are impacted (sideways) and aren't facing the right direction. The two teeth have made my mouth hurt a bit at times, but it hasn't hurt for a while (I know how you feel).

I've had friends have their wisdoms removed, and have said it hasn't been a problem. They say it doesn't hurt much while they're being removed, only after when the anaesthetic wears off. But the pain is easily managed, and you should be right. I really hope so too ... considering I'll have to get them out sooner or later.

Good luck!!

I'm sorry to hear it HayleyR210 :(. If it helps, I've had 4 teeth pulled (molars) and all 4 of my wisdom teeth cut out before they came in. I had a lot harder time with the pulled teeth and I had absolutely NO problems with the wisdom teeth. I never had any pain or swelling with them, at all. I hope you can figure out what's causing your problems and good luck with the fix :D!

P.S. Be sure they completely knock you out for the tooth removal process. With my pulled teeth, they only put me in twilight sleep and I heard/felt way too much. My wisdom teeth were SO much easier to get rid of!

I actually still have mine and Im 25 years old. I didnt feel them once as they were coming in. My fiancee on the other hand had to have hers out. She got put to sleep and about 45 minutes later we were home. She said it doesnt hurt while they are pulling them, its afterward during the recovery and the medicine wears off that some pain comes. She said it wasnt too bad though. My brother had them out 2 years ago and was driving around right after the surgery. The whole time he had no pain he only got what I called chipmunk cheeks from them being so swollen. LOL
It is going to be different for everybody, but dont fret about it. Everything will be fine {up}

Just a question....wisdom teeth?

Hey Everyone,
For about the past 3 weeks I've been having chronic, severe migrais, ear aches, and my mouth has been hurting. Finally this evening it clicked--maybe my wisdom teeth are coming in? Well, felt abck on the right side of my mouth and the bottom one is coming in. I'm planning to go to the dentist this week and I'm sure they'll have to be removed.

Just wondering if any of you have had your removed? I know some can be pulled and other are cut out. Just wondering if it hurts TOO terribly bad? I have about a 0 pain tolerance. Kind of worried, but honestly, want to know what to expect.

Thanks,

Hayley
