This definitely needs to be taken as a lesson learned. I agree wholeheartedly with Volante on several serious issues. The JM system is very, very broken in the way it operates currently. I hope I speak for most of us when I say I don't appreciate not having my vote counted in the JM polls when my vote can be overriden by a Global Mods poll, just because of some non-existant "desperate need for moderators" (no offense to any of these new moderators who were voted in with this scenario...it's definitely nothing personal against any of you...my issue is with the vote itself). And my biggest problem with that is being asked my opinion and then throwing it out the window, but still being forced into moderating with someone that I felt wasn't ready to become a moderator in the first place.
I think it's long overdue that these kinds of issues be addressed and taken care of. I'm hoping like crazy that Ian has some awesome ideas coming down the pipe to help out

! But in all seriousness, it's so much of a hit to the site to lose an experienced, helpful, knowledgable, respectful moderator than it is to bring in droves of inexperienced, title-seeking moderators. I completely understand where Volante is coming from...I've had a lot of frustration over problems not being addressed and I hope that will change with Ian's return (haha...no pressure there Ian

).
